सं.फा. 20/4/2003/गृ.पु.-।।/1324.-जबकि राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र दिल्ली की सड़कों पर तेज गति से मोटर वाहनों का अनियंत्रित चलना मोटर चालकों के साथ-साथ अन्य सड़क उपयोगकर्ताओं/यात्रियों के जीवन को खतरे में डाल रहा है ।

और जबकि, मोटर चालकों के साथ-साथ अन्य सड़क उपयोगकर्ताओं की सुरक्षा के लिए राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र दिल्ली की सड़कों पर मोटर वाहनों की गति को विनियमित करना आवश्यक है ।

मैं, सत्यवान गौतम, उपायुक्त पुलिस/यातायात (आधुनिकीकरण), दिल्ली, दिल्ली पुलिस अधिनियम, 1978 की धारा 28 (1) (बी) के साथ पठित दिल्ली सड़कों व गलियों में वाहनों और अन्य यातायात नियन्त्रण विनियम - 1980 की धारा 9 (1) के तहत प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुये एत्‌द द्वारा दिल्ली की सड़कों पर विभिन्न प्रकार के मोटर यानों के लिए अधिकतम गति सीमा (जहां सड़क की स्थिति अनुमति देती है) को संशोधित करता हूॅं, जैसा कि 3036 DG/2021

जाता है।

** एम2 और एम3 प्रवर्ग यानः- ऐसे मोटर यान (एलएमवी-7.5 टन तक), जिनका उपयोग चालक सीट के अतिरिक्त नौ या अधिक सीटों के यात्रियों के वहन के लिए किया जाता है ।

*** एन प्रवर्ग यानः- ऐसे मोटर यान, जिनका उपयोग माल के वहन के लिए किया जाता है ।

यदि गति, इस अधिसूचना में विनिर्दिष्ट अधिकतम गति के पांच प्रतिशत के अंदर पाई जाती है, तो मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 183 के अधीन गति सीमाओं के अतिक्रमण का कोई संज्ञान नहीं लिया जाएगा ।

यह अधिसूचना दिल्ली यातायात पुलिस द्वारा समय-समय पर राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र दिल्ली की सड़कों पर गति सीमा की घोषणा कें संबंध में दिल्ली यातायात पुलिस द्वारा जारी सभी पिछले आदे"ाों/अधिसूचनाओं का अधिक्रमण करती है । आम जनता के सूचनार्थ इस आदेश को सरकारी राजपत्र में प्रकाशित किया जाएगा और इसकी एक प्रति समस्त जिला पुलिस उपायुक्त कार्यालयों तथा तमाम थानों दिल्ली/नई दिल्ली के सूचना पट्‌टों पर चिपकाई जाएगी।

संबंधित नागरिक सड़क अनुरक्षण एजेंसियां सड़क उपयोगकर्ताओं / आम जनता के मार्गदर्शन और सुविधा के लिए4 DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART IV] अपने अधिकार क्षेत्र में सड़कों/सड़क खंडों पर सभी प्रमुख स्थानों पर गति सीमाओं को दर्शाने वाले संबंधित सूचनात्मक साइन बोर्ड स्थापित करेंगी ।

यह आदेश तत्काल प्रभाव सेे लागू होगा ।

मेरे द्वारा इस कार्यालय की मोहर के साथ दिनांक 08/06/2021 को जारी किया गया ।

NOTIFICATION

Delhi, the 8th June, 2021

F. No. 20/4/2003/HP-II/1324.—Whereas unregulated plying of motor vehicles on a high speed on the roads of NCT of Delhi is endangering the life of motorists as well as other road users/commuters.

And whereas, it is necessary to regulate the speed of motor vehicles on the roads of NCT of Delhi for safety of motorists as well as other road users.

I, Satyawan Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police/Traffic (Modernization), Delhi in exercise of the powers, conferred upon me u/s 28(1) (b) of Delhi Police Act, 1978 read with Rule 9 (1) of the Delhi Control of Vehicular and Other Traffic on Roads and Streets Regulations, 1980 do hereby revise the maximum speed limit (where road condition permits) for various type of motor vehicles on Delhi roads as mentioned below:—

* M1 Category vehicles:- Motor vehicles used for carriage of passengers comprising not more than eight seats in addition to the driver's seat.

** M2 & M3 Category vehicles:- Motor vehicles (LMVs - upto 7.5 tonne) used for carriage of passengers comprising nine or more seats in addition to the driver's seat.

*** N Category vehicles:- Motor vehicles used for carriage of goods.

No cognizance of the violation of the speed limit shall be taken under section 183 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, if the speed detected is within 5 percent of the maximum speed specified in this notification.

This notification supersedes all previous orders/notifications issued by Delhi Traffic Police regarding declarations of speed limits on the roads of NCT of Delhi from time to time.

This order shall be published for the information of the general public in the official gazette and by affixing a copy on the notice boards of the office of all District Deputy Commissioner of Police and all Police Stations in Delhi/New Delhi.

The concerned civic road maintaining agencies shall erect the corresponding informatory sign boards indicating the speed limits at all prominent locations on the road / road stretches in their areas of jurisdiction for guidance and convenience of the road users / general public.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
