फा. सं. 14011/04/2022-दिल्ली-II.—दिल्ली नगर निगम (संशोधन) अधिनियम, 2022 द्वारा यथा-संशोधित, दिल्ली नगर निगम अधिनियम, 1957 की धारा-3 की उप-धारा (5) के अनुसार के न्द्र सरकार, एतद् द्वारा दिल्ली नगर निगम में सीटों की कु ल संख्या दो सौ पचास (250) अवधारित करती है।

2. इसके अतिरिक्त, पूर्वोक्त अधिनियम की धारा-3 की उप-धारा (6) (यथा-संशोधित) के अनुसार के न्द्र सरकार, अनुसूचित जातियों की जनसंख्या, दिल्ली की कु ल जनसंख्या (जनगणना-2011) के साथ जिस प्रकार अनुपातित है, के अनुसार सीटों की कु ल संख्या के अनुपात में दिल्ली नगर निगम में अनुसूचित जातियों के सदस्यों के लिए आरक्षित सीटों की कु ल संख्या भी बयालीस (42) अवधारित करती है।आशुतोष अग्निहोत्री, संयुक्त सचिव 6077 DG/2022 (1) 2 DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART IV] MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION

F. No. 14011/04/2022-Delhi-II.—In pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (5) of section 3 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 as amended by the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2022, the Central Government hereby determines the total number of seats of the Councillors in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi as two hundred and fifty (250).

2. Further, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (6) of section 3 of the aforesaid Act (as amended), the Central Government also determines the total number of seats of the Councillors in the Municipal Corporation of delhi to be reserved for members of Scheduled Castes as forty-two (42), based on the ratio to the total number of seats as the population of Scheduled Castes bears to the total population of Delhi (Census 2011).
