— गुरू गोबिन्द सिंह इन्द्रप्रस्थ विश्वविद्यालय अधिनियम 1998 (1998 का अधिनियम 9) की धारा 27(2) के प्रावधानों के अनुपालन में, गुरू गोबिन्द सिंह इन्द्रप्रस्थ विश्वविद्यालय के प्रबंध मंडल ने 03.08.2026 को संपन्न हुई अपनी 92वीं बैठक में कार्यसूची की मद सं 92.20 के संकल्प के द्वारा 'संविदा आधार पर या समकक्ष नियुक्ति ' से संबंधित वर्तमान अध्यादेश 14 के खण्ड (v) में निम्न संशधनों को स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दीः

यह संशेधन, प्रबंध मंडल द्वारा दी गई स्वीकृति-तिथि, अर्थात् 03.08.2026 से प्रभावी होगा।

NOTIFICATION

No. 13(2)(54)/ 2026/ CORD/ .— In pursuance of the provisions of Section 27 (2) of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act 1998 (Act 9 of 1998), the Board of Management of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in its 92nd meeting held on 03.08.2026 vide resolution to agenda item no. BM 92.20 approved the following amendments in the clause v of the existing Ordinance 4 related to 'Appointment on Contract Basis or equivalent' of the University:

| (v) | Age limit: The age limit for Assistant Professor and above will be 70 years. If age permits they may be initially appointed for a period of 3 years extendable by another period of 2 years till they attain the age of 70 years. However, the appointment would be on year to year basis. In the case of other staff at the level of Assistant Registrar and above the age limit will be 70 years; however, the age limit at the time of first appointment in case of other staff will be 45 which will not be applicable at the time of renewal of contract. | Age limit: The age limit for Assistant Professor and above will be 70 years, if age permits, they may be initially appointed for a period of 3 years, which is further extendable on year to year basis till they attain the age of 70 years. T he age limit, at the level of posts Assistant Section Officer and above, will also be 70 years. However, the upper age limit at the time of first appointment on the above referred post of other person on contract will be 45 years, which will not be applicable at the time of renewal of contract. P rovided further that the minimum age, in case of employee retired from the departments/ institutions prescribed in the RRs shall be 45 years and above at the time of initial appointment which will not be applicable at the time of renewal of contract. |
This amendment shall come into force with effect from the date of approval by the Board of Management i.e.
