NOTIFICATION

THE GUJARAT TOWN PLANNING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT, 1976.
No.GH/V/209 of 2025/UHUHD/MSM/e-file/18/2025/0143/L : WHEREAS, the State Government in Urban Development And Urban Housing Department by Notification No. KV-08 of 2025-UDUHD/COC/e-file/18/2024/ 5932/P dated 01.01.2025 constituted the Municipal Corporation of the city of Morbi comprising the larger urban area as specified in the Urban Development And Urban Housing Department Notification No. KV-07 of 2025-UDUHD/ COC/e-file/18/ 2024/5932/P dated 01.01.2025 under the provision of Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949 (Bom.LIX of 1949);
AND WHEREAS, under Government Notification, Urban Development and Urban Housing Department No.GH/V/142 of 2012/UDA-102012-1037-L dated 28.08.2012, under sub-section (1), (2), (2A) of section 22, sub-section 3 of section 23 of the Gujarat Town Planning & Urban Development Act, 1976 (President's Act No.27 of 1976) (hereinafter referred as "the said Act") declared the urban development area, amalgamated the areas and constituted the Morbi-Wankaner Urban Development Authority (hereinafter referred as "the said Authority");
267-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 23-06-2025 [ PART IV-B AND WHEREAS, the Government of Gujarat is of opinion that it is necessary in the public interest that the objective of proper development or redevelopment of the areas within the jurisdiction of the villages specified in column (4) of the SCHEDULE appended hereto will be best served by including it within the urban development area of Morbi- Wankaner Urban Development Authority;NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1), (2), (2A) of Section-22 of the Act, 1976 the Government of Gujarat hereby:-
1. declares the areas as specified in column 4 of the said SCHEDULE to be an urban development area;
2. include and amalgamate the said urban development areas in the urban development area of Morbi-Wankaner Urban Development Authority, under sub-section (2A) of Section-22of the said Act;
3. reconstitutes the authority for the said amalgamated urban development area to be called "Morbi-Wankaner Urban Development Authority" which shall consist of the following members, namely:-

| 6. | Joint Secretary, UD & UHD (Municipal Corporation Branch) | Ex-Officio Member |
| 7. | President of District Panchayat, Morbi | Ex-Officio Member |
| 8. | Chief Town Planner or his representative not below the rank of Additional Chief Town Planner | Ex-Officio Member |
| 9. | Chief Engineer, Morbi Municipal Corporation | Ex-Officio Member |
| 10. | Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Morbi Municipal Corporation | Member Secretary and Chief Executive Authority |
4. directs the Morbi-Wankaner Urban Development Authority to prepare, publish and submit to the State Government, a draft development plan for the Morbi-Wankaner Urban Development Authority area within twelve months from the date of notification or within such time as the State Government may, from time to time.
