NOTIFICATION

Gujarat State, Gandhinagar, 23rd December, 2025

No. KPV-71-DC-ELC-L-4-TP-33-2025: Vide Notification No. KPV-63-DC-ELC-L-4-TP-33-2025, dated 9th September, 2025 the total number of members reservation for SC, ST, SEBC, number of unreserved seats, reservation for women belonging to each of the SCs, STs, SEBCs and number of women in unreserved categories (General) seats for Taluka Panchayats in respect of Valsad district have been notified.

AS per Collector, Valsad letter no. ELC/2011Population/wasi/1481/2025, dated: 11th November, 2025 Taluka wise the total rural population of Valsad district has been revised of Pardi, Kaprada and new constituted Nanapondha talukas and therefore, total number of seats and reserved seats has to be re-fixed and fixed as per provision of section 10 of the Gujarat Panchayat Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993).

In exercise of the powers of the State Government under Section 10 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993), conferred on me under Government Notification of Panchayats and Rural Housing Department No. KP/191 of 1994/DEL-1094-1246-J, dated 26/7/1994, I, Hitesh Koya, IAS, Development Commissioner, Gujarat State hereby in respect of Valsad District in Gujarat State, I-A Ex.-174 174-1 174-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 23-12-2025 [ PART I-A State that Taluka Panchayats shown in column 2 shall have total number of members, reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and number of unreserved seats, reservation for women; for each of the SCs, STs, SEBCs and for women in unreserved categories (General) as shown in Schedule against the name of the panchayat in relevant column.

The Notification of 9th September, 2025 referred in para-1 stands and amended with Kaprada and new constituted Nanapondha taluka panchayats being read as per this Notification. Moreover, Vapi Municipal Corporation newly constituted and included all village panchayats from Vapi Taluka Panchayat and no any village panchayats remain, therefore the Notification of 9th September, 2025 referred in para-1 has been cancelled for only Vapi Taluka Panchayat as per serial number-6.
