NOTIFICATION

As already notified under this High Court Notification No. C/2101/2025 dated 19.02.2025, the High Court will remain closed for Winter Vacation, 2025 from Monday, December 29, 2025 to Sunday, January 04, 2026 (Both days inclusive).

Preceding and Succeeding Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays shall form part of Vacation.

The arrangement of Judicial work during the Winter Vacation shall be as under:-

(i) During Winter Vacation, the Division Bench matters will also be taken up by Honourable Single Judge for notice and ad-interim relief, but final disposal will not be made without placing the matter before Division Bench. However, if any urgent Division Bench's matter, wherein final disposal is required as per Judicial Order passed by the Honourable Single Judge of the Vacation Court, the matter will be listed by comprising a Division Bench of the Vacation Judges available during those days, as mentioned in the Notification.

(ii) Temporary Bail matters of Division Bench of an emergent nature may also be decided by the Honourable Single Judge during Winter Vacation.

(iii) Ld. Advocates/Party-in-persons shall utilize the portal of Online Request for Early Listing of pending matters during the period from 29.12.2025 to 02.01.2026, on Court working days, between 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., on the same conditions which are mentioned in the User Guide - Online Request for Early Listing of mattres dated 01.09.2023.

For urgent circulation of fresh matters, Ld. Advocates/Party-in-persons shall make mention before the Honourable Judges having entrusted to act as Vacation Judge respectively for Civil and Criminal business as the case may be, on Court working days and even during Saturdays and Sundays including the closed holidays and it is for that Honourable Judge to decide whether the matter pressed/mentioned before His Lordship is urgent or not.

(iv) There will be no sitting on Saturday, Sunday and closed Holidays.

(v) The Registry will remain open from 11.00 A.M. to 04.00 Ρ.Μ. Only the work of an urgent nature in vacation will be received by the Registry up to 02.00 P.M. Only those urgent matters will be listed before the concerned Vacation Judge which are permitted to be listed by the concerned Honourable Vacation Judge. The Office will remain closed on all Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

(vi) In all Bail Applications, 48 hours notice in the case of matters from outside the local limits of Ahmedabad City and 24 hours notice in case of matters from Ahmedabad City should be given to the Government Pleaders/Public Prosecutors.
