GUJARAT PROVINCIAL MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1949.
No. KV-416 of 2025-UDUHD/MRT/e-file/18/2025/7729/P Section:- WHEREAS, the Government of Gujarat appointed District Collector Porbandar to be the Administrator of the Municipal Corporation of the City Porbandar 183-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 31-12-2025 [ PART I-A AND WHEREAS the term of District Collector Porbandar as the Administrator of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Porbandar is scheduled to be completed on 31.12.2025. NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 22 and 22B in Part IV of Appendix IV under section 493 of the Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949 (Bom. LIX of 1949), the Government of Gujarat hereby extends the tenure of the District Collector of Porbandar as the Administrator of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Porbandar. The District Collector of Porbandar shall hold the office of the Administrator for the Three months commencing from the 01st January, 2026, or till the councillors are elected in the first election of the said Municipal Corporation, whichever is earlier.
