CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.

No. GTH/2026/02/FCSCAD/ASM/e-file/5/2023/0142/A: In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Assistant Director, Class II, in the General State Service, under the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Recruitment Rules, 2014, namely: -1. (1) These rules may be called the Assistant Director, Class II, in the General State Service, under the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the date their publication in the Official Gazette. 2-1 IV-A Ex.-2 2-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 15-01-2026 [ PART IV-A 2. In the Assistant Director, Class- II, in the General State Service, under the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Recruitment Rules, 2014, (hereinafter referred to as "the said rules"), in the rule 2, in clause (b), for the words "on the basis of the result of the competitive examination held by Gujarat Public Service Commission", the words "on the basis of the result of the combined competitive examination" shall be substituted.

3.     In the said rules, in the rule 4, -
       (1)     in clause (a), for the figures and words "30 years", the figures and words "35 years" shall be substituted.
       (2)     in clause (b), in sub-clause(i), for the words "degree", the words "bachelor's degree" shall be substituted.
4.     In the said rules, wherever the words "on the basis of the result of the competitive examination", occur the words
       "on the basis of the result of the combined competitive examination" shall be substituted.
