ORDER

Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 16th January, 2026

GUJARAT PANCHAYATS ACT, 1993.

No. KP/2 of 2026/PRHRDD/JRT/e-file/14/2025/4582/Section-J:- WHEREAS the Government of Gujarat vide Government Notification, Urban Development and Urban Housing Department No. GV-300 OF 2025-UDUHD/EOM/ e-file/18/2025/5039/M Section, dated the 21st August, 2025 has specified the areas of Chalthan Gram Panchayat of Surat District to be the "Smaller Urban Area" and notified it as a part of the Kadodara Municipality;

AND WHEREAS as the areas of the said Gram Panchayat being "Smaller Urban Area", the respective constituencies of the concerned Taluka Panchayat, Palsana have been altered and in the case of elected representatives of TalukaPanchayat, Palsana, whose constituencies have been entirely included in the said urban area, the elected representatives of respective constituencies of the Taluka Panchayat, Palsana as specified in columns (4) and (5) of the Schedule, cannot be continued as the members of Taluka Panchayat, Palsana, as they cease to be representatives of Taluka Panchayat, Palsana; 10-1 I-A Ex.-¹⁰ 10-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 17-01-2026 [ PART I-A AND WHEREAS the Government of Gujarat has decided to terminate the office of representatives of Taluka Panchayat, Palsana representing the constituencies as specified in columns (4) and (5) of the Schedule; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 264 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993), the Government of Gujarat hereby, - 1. reduces, as an interim measure, the number of members of the existing Taluka Panchayat, Palsana from 18 to 15;

2. terminates the office of the members of the Palsana Taluka Panchayat, specified in column (5) of the Schedule appended hereto representing the constituency specified in column (4) falling within the areas of the Palsana Taluka Panchayat, which have been excluded from the said Taluka Panchayat.
