અધિનિયમ, ૧૯૬૧નીર્ લમ-૧૦૭ હેઠળ મળેલ સત્તા અન્વયે રજિસ્ટ્રારશ્રી, સર્હારી મંડળીઓ, ગુજરાત રાજ્ય, ગાંધીનગરના તા.૦૬/૦૩/૧૯૯૯ના ર્હુમ ક્રર્માં: નસબ/૦૧/ઝ-૨/૨૮૫/૧૯૯૯થી ધી સુપ્રભાતર્ ો.ઓ. ર્બેં લી., અમદાવાદને ફડચામાં લઈ જવામાં આવેલ. ગુજરાત સર્હારી મંડળી અધિનિયમ, ૧૯૬૧નીર્ લમ-૧૧૪(૧)ની જોગવાઈ મુજબ ફડચાના ર્હુમથી ત્રણ વકષમાં ફડચાનીર્ ાયષવાહી આટોપી લેવાની રહે છે. ગુજરાત સર્હારી મંડળી અધિનિયમ, ૧૯૬૧નીર્ લમ-૧૧૪(૧) હેઠળ મળેલ સત્તા અન્વયે સદરહુ સંસ્ટ્થાની ફડચાની મુદત રજિસ્ટ્રારશ્રી, સર્હારી મંડળીઓ, ગુજરાત રાજ્ય, ગાંધીનગરના વખતોવખતના ર્હુમોથી તા.૦૫/૦૩/૨૦૦૬ સુધી વધારવામાં આવેલ હતી. પરંતુ સદરહુ મુદત વધારા દરમ્યાન ફડચાની ર્ાયષવાહી આટોપી ર્શાયેલ ન હતી. ત્યારબાદ ગુજરાત સર્હારી મંડળી અધિનિયમ, ૧૯૬૧નીર્ લમ-૧૬૧ હેઠળ મળેલ સત્તા અન્વયે રાજ્ય સર્રારના ર્ૃકિ, ખેડૂતર્ લ્યાણ અને સર્હાર વિભાગના વખતોવખતના જાહેરનામાથી તા.૦૫/૦૩/૨૦૨૫ સુધીર્ લમ ૧૬૧ હેઠળ મુચિ આપવામાં આવેલ હતી.

પરંતુ સદરહુ સમયગાળા દરમ્યાન ફડચાનીર્ ાયષવાહી આટોપી ર્શાયેલ નથી.

GUJARAT ESSENTIAL SERVICES MAINTENANCE ACT, 1972.

No. GH/NJ/2026/131/NWRWSKD/PRC/e-file/13/2024/0767/KH: WHEREAS the Government of Gujarat is of the opinion that strike in all employment of Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited and Water & Sanitation Management Organisation serving under Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpasar Department (Water Supply Department) to provide and distribute drinking water to the public and other co-ordination activities are essential to the life of the community and their strike will result in the infliction of grave hardship to whole community.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Gujarat Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1972 (Guj. 23 of 1972), the Government of Gujarat hereby declares all employment of Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited and Water & Sanitation Management Organisation serving under Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpasar Department (Water Supply Department) to provide and distribute drinking water to the public and other co-ordination activities, to be the "Essential Services" for the purpose of the aforesaid Act.

GUJARAT ESSENTIAL SERVICES MAINTENANCE ACT, 1972.

No. GH/NJ/2026/132/NWRWSKD/PRC/e-file/13/2024/0767/KH: WHEREAS the Government of Gujarat is satisfied that in the public interest, it is necessary to do so:

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Gujarat Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1972 (Guj. 23 of 1972), the Government of Gujarat hereby prohibits strikes in the essential services declared as such under Government notification, Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpasar Department (Water Supply Department), No. GH/NJ/2026/131/NWRWSKD/PRC/e-file/13/2024/0767/KH dated as per E-sign and specified in the schedule appended here to.

SCHEDULE

All employment of Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited and Water & Sanitation Management Organisation serving under Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpasar Department (Water Supply Department) to provide and distribute drinking water to the public and other co-ordination activities.

This order shall remain in force for a period of six months i.e. (from dt: 03/09/2026 to 02/03/2027).
