Notification
The 9th October, 2018
No. 2548-Agri.II-(1)-2018/15097.— The "Haryana State Farmers' Commission" was constituted vide notification No. 1919-Agri.-II(1)-2010/9677 dated 15th July, 2010. It was renamed as "Haryana Kisan Ayog" vide notification No. 2028-Agri.-II(1)-2010/ 10989 dated 13th August, 2010. The Governor of Haryana is now pleased to further rename it as "Haryana Kisan & Agricultural Costs and Prices Commission".
Further, in view of added responsibilities, the following additions are made in the notification No. 1919-Agri.-II(1)-2010/9677, dated 15th July, 2010.
1. Under 'Terms of Reference of the Commission'
12- Carrying out work of preparation of data of production cost of in respect of various crops by conducting adequate surveys and thereupon making recommendations to the State Government for forwarding its recommendations to the Haryana Kisan & Agricultural Cost and Prices Commission.
2. Under 'Procedures and Powers'
(vi) In order to conduct the surveys, field level staff of the Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Department would be directed to take up the work and make surveys and other preparations, as per the directions of the Commission.
(vii) The Commission may engage additional Consultants, Research Fellows, and other required technical staff for jobs related to cost of production & prices of different agricultural commodities, purely on contract basis or through a service provider, with the prior approval of the Government.
