Corrigendum
The 19th November, 2018
No. 2979-Agri.II(1)-2018/16760.— The Governor of Haryana is pleased to notify amendments in the notification No. 941-Agri-II(1)-2018/4332, dated 30th March, 2018 issued by this Department for Rabi 2018-19 as per Operational Guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) issued by Government of India which is applicable from 1st October, 2018 as under:
4 (i) Prevented Sowing/Planting/germination Risk: Coverage of risk in case the insured area is prevented from sowing/ planting/germination due to deficit rainfall or adverse seasonal/ weather conditions.
4 (iii) Hailstorms in Post-harvest losses will also be covered.
4 (iv) Localized Calamities: Cloud burst and natural fire well also be covered in addition to earlier notified hailstorm, landslide and inundation. Further Add on coverage for crop losses due to wild animals can be covered by paying additional premium. Premium rates for loss due to wild Animals will be circulated to banks and other financial institutes after the approval of Director Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Haryana. Insurance Companies will provide Per hectare crop wise premium rate for said peril within one week of the corrigendum date.
13(ii) Cut-off date for receipt of proposal of farmers /debit of premium from farmers' accounts (Loanee and non- loanee) will be 15 December, 2018 instead of 31 December, 2018 HARYANA GOVT. GAZ., DEC. 4, 2018 (AGHN. 13, 1940 SAKA) [PART I 1968 19. OTHERS CONDITION – NEW INCLUSIONS:
(xxiv) Implementation Agency shall enroll 10% Incremental coverage of Loanee & Non- Loanee farmers in each district
(xxv) 12% interest rate to be paid by the Insurance Company to farmers for delay in settlement of claim beyond two months of prescribed cutoff date.
(xxvi) Mandatory capturing of Aadhar card for enrollment of Loanee and Non- Loanee farmers.
(xxvii) Timeline of localized claim intimation to Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare directly or indirectly will be 72 hours.
Above changes will supersede the notification No. 941-Agri-II(1)-2018/4332, dated 30th March, 2018, and will be applicable from 1st October, 2018.
