No. Elec-2019/IR-II/PSCE/Hol/32434.— Whereas the Bye-election to 18-Dharamshala and 55-Pachhad (SC) Constituency of Himachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held on 21.10.2019 (Monday) as per Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana letter No. 130 (Public Holiday) HP. Bye-Elec-2019/2AE-12780 dated 12.10.2019.
And, whereas, it is considered necessary to provide opportunity to those who are working in the State of Haryana/ Chandigarh and enrolled as voter in 18-Dharmshala and 55-Pachhad (SC) Assemebly Constituency of Himachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly to exercise their franchise.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the second proviso of sub-section (I) of section 10 of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 (Punjab Act 15 of 1958) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana hereby fixes "Monday" the 21.10.2019 to be a close day (holiday) for all Shops and Commercial Establishments falling within the jurisdiction area of the State of Haryana, only for their employees who are enrolled as voters in the 18-Dharmshala and 55-Pachhad (SC) Constituency of Himachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly to enable them to exercise their franchise.
