No. F.W./Election-2020/202.— Whereas the General Election to Legislative Assembly of NCT of Delhi for which poll shall be held on the 08.02.2020 (Saturday) as per letter of the Chief Electrol Officer, Haryana issued vide No. 130 (Paid Holiday)/G.Elec-2020/2AE-539 dated 22.01.2020.
And whereas, it has been considered necessary to provide opportunity to the public to exercise their franchise.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 65 of the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act 63 of 1948) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana is pleased to exempt only those workers who are working in the Factories in the State of Haryana and are enrolled as the voters in NCT of Delhi, where General Election to Legislative Assembly are to be held on 08.02.2020 (Saturday) from the operations of provisions of sub-section (1) of section 52 of the said Act, for the week commencing from 09.02.2020 and ending on 15.02.2020, subject to the condition that no adult worker who is enrolled as voter in election to NCT of Delhi shall be required or allowed to work on 08.02.2020 (Saturday) in the factories of the state of Haryana.
