WELFARE OF SCHEDULED CASTES AND BACKWARD CLASSES DEPARTMENT
Notification
The 7th July, 2020
No. 525-SW(1)-2020.— Whereas, the List of Scheduled Castes in Haryana State as incorporated in the Constitutional Order 1950 (as amended from time to time) include Sansi as Scheduled Caste. Gadaria is added as a synonym of Sansi in the list of De-notified Tribes as per notification dated 5th July, 2019 issued by the State Government. A number of representations from persons of Gadaria Caste have been received by the State Government from time to time, wherein it is stated that Gadaria is a Sub-caste of Sansi caste and, therefore Scheduled Caste Certificate should be issued to them
In view of the above, Governor of Haryana is pleased to issue clarification that while issuing Scheduled Caste Certificate to the persons of Gadaria caste, the caste may be mentioned as Sansi (Gadaria).
