No. Elec-2020/IR-II/PSCE/Hol/8859.— Whereas the Bye-Election to Legislative Assembly of 33-Baroda Assembly Constituency, is to be held on 03.11.2020 (Tuesday), as per letter issued by Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana vide letter No. 130 (30) (Paid Holiday)/Elec-2020/2AE- 4350 Dated 05.10.2020.
And whereas, it is considered necessary to provide opportunity to those who are working in the State of Haryana and enrolled as voter in 33-Baroda Assembly Constituency, to exercise their franchise.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the second proviso of Sub-section (I) of Section 10 of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 (Punjab Act 15 of 1958) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana hereby fixes "Tuesday" the 03.11.2020 to be Close Day (Holiday) for all Shops and Commercial Establishments falling in the above mentioned jurisdiction/area of the State of Haryana only for those employees who are enrolled as voters in 33-Baroda Assembly Constituency (District Sonepat), to enable them to cast their votes.
