No. HVS-LA-50/2021/3.— Consequent upon the conviction of Shri Pardeep Chaudhary, Member, Haryana Legislative Assembly, under Sections 143, 341, 147, 148, 353, 332, 324, 435 read with Section 149 of Indian Penal Code and 3, 4 of PDPP Act, by the Court of Shri Jitender Kumar, Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Court No. 2, Nalagarh, District Solan, (H.P.) in Police Challan Case No.1254 of 2013 (Criminal Case No.30/2 of 2013) titled State of Himachal Pradesh versus Mahesh Kumar and others, vide Judgement/Order dated 14.01.2021, Shri Pardeep Chaudhary representing the Kalka Assembly Constituency of Haryana, stands disqualified from the Membership of Haryana Vidhan Sabha from the date of his conviction i.e. 14.01.2021 in terms of the provisions of Article 191(1)(e) of the Constitution of India read with Section 8(3) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and accordingly one seat namely, 01–Kalka Assembly Constituency in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha has fallen vacant with effect from the 14th January, 2021.
