Notification

No. 30/HWRA/2021.— In exercise of the powers conferred by of sub-section 4 of Section 6 of the Haryana Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation and Management) Authority Act, 2020, the Haryana Water Resources Authority hereby makes the following regulations, namely:–

1. Short title and commencement– (1) These Regulations may be called the Haryana Water Resources Authority (Oath of office and secrecy by Chairperson and Members of the Authority) Regulations, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force from 13th day of January 2021 on publication in the official gazette.

2. Definitions– (1) In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires:-

(a) "Act" means the Haryana Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation and Management) Authority Act, 2020;

(b) "Competent Authority" means-

(i) in respect of the Chairperson of the Authority, the Government ;

(ii) in respect of the members of the Authority, the Chairperson:

(c) "Oath" means the oath made under sub-section 4 of Section 6 of the Act;

(d) "Form" means the forms for oath of office and secrecy as specified in the forms;

(e) "section" or "sub-section", as the case may be, refers to a section or sub-section, respectively, of the Act. (2) Words and expressions used herein and not defined in these regulations but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.

3. Form and manner of oath on appointment- The Chairperson and Members, as the case may be, on appointment, shall make an oath of office and secrecy to the Competent Authority, in the format specified in the forms.

Form of Oath of Secrecy for the Chairperson/Member of the Haryana Water Resources Authority.

I, _______________________________, having been appointed as a Chairperson/Member of the Haryana Water Resources Authority, do solemnly affirm and swear that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person or persons any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as a Chairperson/Member of the said Haryana Water Resources Authority, except as may be required for the due discharge of my duties as a Chairperson/Member.
