Subject : Municipal Bye-election, 2021– Declaration of Holiday on Poll Day.

Sir,I have been directed to refer to the above subject and to say that the State Election Commission, Haryana has issued notification for conduct of bye-election for the seat of President, Municipal Committee, Dharuhera, district Rewari and of five wards, namely Ward Nos. 3,4,7,8 & 9 of Municipal Committee, Ateli Mandi, district Mahendergarh vide Notification No. SEC/1ME/2021/3098 dated 19.08.2021 (copy enclosed). As per schedule, the nomination papers shall be presented from 27.08.2021 to 02.09.2021 (except on 29.08.2021 & 30.08.2021 being gazetted holidays) and the poll shall be held on 12.09.2021. Counting of votes shall be taken up after the close the poll on all the polling stations and result shall be declared immediately after the completion of counting. (648) PART-I] HARYANA GOVT. I have, therefore, been directed to request you to declare 12.09.2021 a public holiday for all the factories, commercial establishments, industrial undertaking, trade, shops etc., falling within the jurisdiction of the municipalities, where poll shall be held on 12.09.2021, to enable workers of the factories, commercial establishments, shops etc. located in the areas to cast their votes.

3. I have also been directed to request you that a copy of the orders issued in this respect may kindly be sent to the State Election Commission.
