No. Leg.21/2021.— The following Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana received the assent of the Governor of Haryana on the 4th September, 2021 and is hereby published for general information:-
HARYANA ACT NO.21 OF 2021
THE HARYANA LOKAYUKTA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2021
AN
ACT
further to amend the Haryana Lokayukta Act, 2002.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Seventy-second Year of the
Republic of India as follows:-
1. This Act may be called the Haryana Lokayukta (Amendment) Act, 2021. Short title.
2. For sub-section (4) of section 6 of the Haryana Lokayukta Act, 2002, the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-
Amendment of section 6 of Haryana Act 1 of 2003.
"(4) The salary, allowances payable to, and other conditions of service of Lokayukta shall be same as may be available from time to time to a sitting Judge of the Supreme Court or Chief Justice or Judge of the High Court, as the case may be, in accordance with the office held by him minus pension already drawn for the previous service, if any, including commuted portion:
Provided that the salary, allowances and other privileges available to the Lokayukta
shall not be negotiable:
Provided further that the allowances payable and other conditions of service of the
Lokayukta shall not be varied to his disadvantage after his appointment.".
