Notification

The 29th October, 2021

No. 2/28/2021-4P.— The Governor of Haryana is pleased to constitute District Electricity Committees (DECs) with immediate effect for oversight overall Government of India schemes related to the Power Sector and also its impact on the provision of services to the people:-

I. Most Senior MP in the District Chairperson

II. Other MPs in the District Co-Chairperson

III. District Collector Member Secretary

IV. Chairman/President of Zila Parishad of the District Member

V. MLAs of the District Member

VI. Most Senior representatives of CPSUs of the Member

Ministry of Power and NRE are located in the concerned district of their nominated official for the district

VII. Chief Engineer/Superintending Engineer/ Convenor

Operation of the DISCOM/Power Department concerned.

2. Terms of reference of DECs is to meet periodically at District Headquarters at least once in three months to review and coordinate the overall development of power supply infrastructure in the district in accordance with the schemes of the Government which may, inter alia include the following aspects:-

(i) All Government of India Schemes including their progress and quality issues.

(ii) Development of Sub-transmission and distribution network including regular operations and maintenance of network identifying further areas where strengthening is needed.

(iii) Impact of the works on quality and reliability of power supply.

(iv) Standards of Performance and consumer services/quality of supply.

(v) Complaints and Grievance Redressal System.

(vi) Any other relevant matter.
