Notification

The 21st April, 2022

No. 9/52/2022-2T(II).— The following draft of rules further to amend the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993, which the Governor of Haryana proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (2) of section 96 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), is hereby published as required by Sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act for the information of persons likely to be affected thereby:-

Notice is hereby given that the draft of rules shall be taken in consideration after the expiry of a period of seven days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette together with objections or suggestions, if any, which may be received by the Principal Secretary to Government, Haryana, Transport Department, New Civil Secretariat, Haryana, Chandigarh, with respect to the draft of the rules, before the expiry of the period so specified.

Draft Rules

1. These rules may be called the Haryana Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022. 2. In the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 (hereinafter called the said rules), in rule 22 in sub-rule (1), for clause (iii), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-

"(iii) A medical certificate of fitness from a Government Medical Officer authorized by the Transport Commissioner on the recommendations of the Chief Medical Officer of the area of jurisdiction concerned for this purpose along with a certificate issued in Form H.R. No. 8 by the Saint John's Ambulance Association or any of its units in the State or hospital approved by an executive order to be issued by the Director General, Health Services, Haryana in this regard.". 3. In the said rules, for Form-HR No. 8, the following Form shall be substituted, namely:-

"Form-HR No. 8 (see rule 22) FORM OF MEDICAL CERTIFICATE SHOWING COMPETENCE TO UNDERTAKE FIRST-AID WORK (To be granted by the Saint John's Ambulance Association, or by a hospital approved by Director General, Health Services, Haryana.) I certify that _______________________________________ aged about ______________ years is qualified to use the first-aid box.
