No. Elec-2022/IR-II/PSCE/Hol/37370.— Whereas the General Election to 250 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to be held on 04.12.2022 (Sunday), as per the letter issued by State Election Commission, NCT of Delhi vide letter No. 10(31)SEC/MCD/General Election/2022/8245 Dated 20.11.2022.
And whereas, it is considered necessary to provide opportunity to those who are working in the state of Haryana and enrolled as voter in Delhi to exercise their franchise.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 (Punjab Act 15 of 1958) and all other enabling powers, the Governor of Haryana hereby fixes "Sunday" the 04.12.2022 to be the holiday with wages for all Shops and Commercial Establishments falling with the jurisdiction area of the State of Haryana for only those employees who are enrolled as voters in Delhi to enable them to cast their votes.
