The 7th March, 2023
No. 2/29/2023-1HB-III.— In exercise of powers conferred under section 12 (3) of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021 (Act 42 of 2021) and section 35(3) The Surrogacy Act, 2021 (Act 47 of 2021), the Government of Haryana hereby notifies the District Appropriate Authority for the purposes of said Acts, as under:-
| 1. | Deputy Commissioner | Chairperson, |
| 2. | Civil Surgeon/CMO | Vice Chairperson, |
| 3. | Deputy Civil Surgeon (PNDT) | Member Secretary, |
| 4. | District Attorney | Member |
| 5. | District Program Officer, WCD | Member |
| 6. | Eminent Registered Medical Practitioner (nominated by District IMA, Haryana) | Member |
| 7. | Eminent Women Citizen (Nominated by DC) | Member |
II. District Medical Board:- under chapter III section 4(iii)(a)(I) of The Surrogacy Act, 2021 (Act 47 of 2021), the Government of Haryana hereby notifies the District Medical Board for the purposes of said Acts, as under:
| 1. | CMO/Civil Surgeon | Chairperson |
| 2. | Chief Gynaecologist or Obstetrician of the District | Member |
| 3. | Chief Pediatrician of the District | Member |
| 4. | District President, IMA | Member |
District Appropriate Authority & District Medical Board shall function as per the relevant sections of the said Acts.
