No. CGEH/9/2023/185.— In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras (Management) Act, 2014 read with sub-rule (1) of rule 18 of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras Management Committee (Delimitation of Wards and Election) Rule, 2023, I, Justice H.S. Bhalla, Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, Haryana, hereby notifies the election symbols for allotment to the contesting candidates during the election to members of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras Management Committee. Name (in English, Hindi & Punjabi) and facsimile of the symbols is given as under: -

2. It is further directed that every candidate filing nomination paper to contest the election to the member of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras Management Committee required to fill-up his order of preference of three election symbols from the above election symbols, in his/her nomination. The Returning Officer shall allot election symbols to the candidates as per their order of preference mentioned in the nomination form. If there is only one candidate who preferred any election symbol as his first choice, the election symbol shall be allotted to that candidate. If first orHARYANA GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA.), SEPT. 1, 2023 (BHDR. 10, 1945 SAKA) 2767 second preference of any election symbol is made by more than one candidate, election symbols shall be allotted by the Returning Officer through draw of lot.
3. It is further directed that after completion of scrutiny of nominations and expiry of period of withdrawal of the candidature the Returning Officer shall prepare a list of the contesting candidates containing the names in alphabetical order in Gurmukhi and addresses of the validly nominated candidates as given in the nomination paper and indicate the election symbol assigned to each candidate. If there are two candidates whose names are the same they shall be distinguished by addition of their father's name/occupation/their village or in such other manner as the Returning Officer think fit.
