No. F.W./Election-2024/1199.— Whereas the General Elections to the Lok Sabha 2024 and Bye-Election to 21-Karnal Assembly Constituency for which poll shall be held on the 25.05.2024 (Saturday) as per letter of the Office of Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana issued vide no. 130 (30) Election-2024/2AE-2264 dated 26.03.2024.
And whereas, it has been considered necessary to provide opportunity to the public to exercise their franchise.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 65 of the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act 63 of 1948) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana is pleased to exempt all the adult workers working in the factories situated in the State of Haryana who are the voters in General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2024 in the State of Haryana and 21-Karnal Assembly Constituency which is to be held on 25.05.2024, from the operations of provisions of section 52 (1) (a) of the said Act, for the week commencing from 26.05.2024 and ending 01.06.2024, subject to the condition that no adult worker who is enrolled as voter in aforesaid General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2024 and 21-Karnal Assembly Constituency shall be required or allowed to work on 25.05.2024 (Saturday) in the factories of the state of Haryana.
