No. Elec-2024/IR-II/PSCE/Hol/11464.— As per letter No. 130(30) / Elec-2024/2AE-2264 dated 26.03.2024 of Chief Electrol Officer, Haryana the General Election of Lok Sabha, 2024 in State of Haryana and Bye-elections to Legislative Assembly of 21-Karnal (Haryana)-2024 are to be held on 25.05.2024 (Saturday).
And whereas, it is considered necessary to provide opportunity to those who are working in the State of Haryana and enrolled as voter in State of Haryana to exercise their franchise.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 (Punjab Act 15 of 1958) and all other enabling powers, the Governor of Haryana hereby fixes "Saturday" the 25.05.2024 to be the holiday with wages for all Shops and Commercial Establishments falling with the jurisdication area of the State of Haryana for only those who are enrolled as voters in the State of Haryana to enable them to cast their votes.
