Regulation No. HERC/48/2020/4th Amendment/2024.— In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 181 read with sub-section (5) to (8) of section 42 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) and all other powers enabling the Commission in that behalf and after previous publication, makes the following regulations to amend the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2020 including all amendments till date (hereinafter referred to as 'the Principal Regulations'):
1. Short title, Commencement, Extent and Interpretation:
1.1 These Regulations shall be called the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2020 (4th Amendment) Regulations, 2024.
1.2 These amendments shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Haryana Government Gazette.
2. The Regulation 3.3 of the Principal Regulations, 2020 shall be substituted as under:
3.3 The appointment of the Ombudsman shall be for a maximum period of three years subject to age limit of 65 years.

विनियमन संख्याः एचईआरसी/48/2020/चतुर्थ संशधन/2024.— विद्युत अधिनियम, 2003 (2003 का 36) की धारा 181 के साथ पठित धारा 42 की उपधाराओं (5) से (8) और आयग क इस संबंध में सक्षम अन्य अधिकारं का प्रयग करते हुए तथा पूर्व प्रकाशन के उपरांत, हरियाणा विद्युत विनियामक आयग (फरम और ओम्बड्समैन) विनियम, 2020, जिनमें अब तक के सभी संशधन सम्मिलित हैं (इसके बाद 'मूल विनियम' कहा जाएगा), में संशधन करने हेतु निम्नलिखित विनियम बनाता हैः-
1. संक्षिप्त शीर्षक, प्रारंभ, विस्तार और व्याख्याः
1.1 इन विनियमं क हरियाणा विद्युत विनियामक आयग (फरम और ओम्बड्समैन) विनियम, 2020 (चतुर्थ संशधन) विनियम, 2024 कहा जाएगा।
1.2 ये संशधन हरियाणा सरकार के राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तिथि से प्रभावी हंगे।
2. मूल विनियम, 2020 के विनियमन 3.3 क निम्न प्रकार से प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगाः
3.3 ओम्बड्समैन की नियुक्ति 65 वर्ष की आयु सीमा तक व अधिकतम तीन वर्षं की अवधि के लिए की जाएगी।
