संख्या 04/09/2026-4क 1.- चूंकि, हरियाणा नगर निगम अधिनियम, 1994 (1994 का 16) की धारा 11 की उप-धारा (5) और (7) तथा हरियाणा नगर निगम निर्वाचन नियम, 1994 के नियम 71 के उप-नियम (7) के निबन्धनों के अनुसार महानिदेषक, शहरी स्थानीय निकाय, सम्बन्धित मण्डल आयुक्त अथवा उनके नामनिर्देषितियों तथा सम्बन्धित नगर निगमों के आयुक्तों से मिलकर बनी समिति ने दिनांक 22 जनवरी, 2026 को महानिदेषक, शहरी स्थानीय निकाय, हरियाणा, पंचकूला के कार्यालय में हुई बैठक में जनसंख्या की अधिकतम प्रतिषतता के आधार पर और ड्रा ऑफ लॉटस के माध्यम से अवधारित किया है कि तीन नगर निगमों के महापौर के पद नीचे दी गई अनुसूची ा तथा ाा में यथा वर्णित क्रमषः पिछड़ा वर्ग 'ख' तथा सामान्य वर्ग से सम्बन्धित सदस्यों में से भरे जाएंगे।
इसलिए, अब, हरियाणा नगर निगम अधिनियम, 1994 (1994 का 16) की धारा 11 की उप-धारा (8) के अधीन प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए तथा हरियाणा सरकार, शहरी स्थानीय निकाय विभाग, अधिसूचना संख्या 18/2/2017-3क ा, दिनांक 9 जनवरी, 2017 का आंषिक रूप से उपांतरण करते हुए, हरियाणा के राज्यपाल, इसके द्वारा, विनिर्दिष्ट करते हैं कि तीन नगर निगमों में महापौर के पद नीचे दी गई अनुसूची -ा तथा ाा में यथावर्णित विभिन्न प्रवर्गों से सम्बन्धित सदस्यों में से भरे जाएंगे, अर्थात् :-

01 नगर निगम का नाम, जहां महापौर का पद पिछड़े वर्ग 'ख' से सम्बन्धित महिला सदस्यों में से भरा जाएगा :- 1. अम्बाला
अनुसूची ाा
2. सोनीपत
02 निगम निगमों के नाम, जहां महापौर के पद सामान्य वर्ग से सम्बन्धित सदस्यों में से भरे जाएंगे :- 1. पंचकूला

No. 04/09/2026-4CI.— Whereas, in terms of sub-sections (5) and (7) of section 11 of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 (16 of 1994) and sub-rule (7) of rule 71 of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Elections Rules, 1994, the committee consisting of the Director General, Urban Local Bodies, Divisional Commissioner concerned or their nominees and Commissioners of the concerned Municipal Corporations in the meeting held on 22nd January, 2026 in the office of the Director General, Urban Local Bodies, Haryana, Panchkula determined on the basis of maximum percentage of population and through draw of lots that the offices of the Mayor of three Municipal Corporations shall be filled up from amongst the members belonging to Backward Classes 'B' and General category as mentioned below in the Schedule I and II respectively.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (8) of section 11 of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 (16 of 1994) and in partial modification of the Haryana Government, Urban Local Bodies Department, notification No.18/2/2017-3CI dated the 09th January, 2017, the Governor of Haryana hereby specifies that the offices of the Mayor in three Municipal Corporations shall be filled up from amongst the members belonging to various categories as mentioned below in the Schedule I and II namely :-
Schedule I
Name of 01 Municipal Corporation, where office of Mayor shall be filled up from amongst the members belonging to Backward Classes 'B' women :-
1. Ambala
Schedule II
Name of 02 Municipal Corporations where office of Mayor shall be filled up from amongst the members belonging to General category :-
1. Panchkula
2. Sonepat
