No. Leg. 38/2026.— The following Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana received the assent of the Governor of Haryana on the 17th September, 2026 and is hereby published for general information:-
HARYANA ACT NO. 32 OF 2026
THE HARYANA MUNICIPAL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2026
AN
ACT
further to amend the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Seventy-seventh Year of the
Republic of India as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Haryana Municipal (Amendment) Act, 2026.
Short title and commencement.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 26th June, 2026.
2. In clause (i) of section 200 of the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973, the words "or licensed" occurring twice shall be omitted.
Amendment of section 200 of Haryana Act 24 of 1973.
Repeal and savings.
3. (1) The Haryana Municipal (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 (Haryana Ordinance No. 2 of 2026) is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act.
