No. MPP-B(1)-1/2013.—The Governor, Himachal Pradesh, is pleased to constitute the Authority of Hydro Project Safety, Quality Control & Water Management in the Directorate of Energy at Shimla as per the requirement of Hydro Power Policy for developing an efficient & effective monitoring mechanism of Govt. of Himachal Pradesh in order to ensure the project safety, 102-राजपत्र/2013-08-08-2013 (2733)2734 राजपत्र, हिमाचल प्रदेश, 8 अगस्त, 2013/17 श्रावण 1935 quality control, management of water flows, monitoring of the progress of allotment and subsequent execution of HEPs in private sector and for ensuring long term generation capacity and residual life of hydro projects, which are under implementation in all the five river basins in Himachal Pradesh.. This Authority will also act as Dam Safety Cell for the State to carry out Dam safety programme in accordance with standards and guidelines laid down by Dam Safety Organizations of CWC and recommended by the Dam Safety Monitoring Directorate, Central Water Commission, Government of India.

2. The Chief Engineer (Energy) will be the Head of the Authority and the Superintending Engineer in the Directorate of Energy will function as Nodal Officer. Other staff patron will be as under:—

1. Sr. Executive Engineer (Civil)- 2 Posts (new creation)- one each for Sutlej & Beas Basins and Ravi, Yamuna & Chenab Basins.

2. Sr. Executive Engineer (Elect.)- 1 post (new creation)- for all Basins.

3. Additional Executive Engineer/Assistant Engineer (Civil)– 2 posts (new creation) 5. Additional Executive Engineer/Assistant Engineer(Elect)- 1 post (new creation) 6. Additional Assistant Engineer/Junior Engineer (Civil) - 2 posts (new creation) 7. Additional Assistant Engineer/Junior Engineer(Elect.)- 1 post (new creation) 8. Computer Operator -

1 post (new creation) 9. Peon –

1 post (new creation) 3. 2 number vehicles (hired taxies) are sanctioned for project site inspection by the authority members.

4. The Directorate of Energy will submit proposal to the Govt. immediately for formal notification of new posts as detailed above giving nomenclature/pay scales of these posts and availability of funds under relevant HOA/SOE for C.F.Y.
