No. UD-A(1) 1/2003.—Whereas a proposal for inclusion of certain local areas in Municipal Council Nahan, specified in Schedule 'A' attached to this Department notification of even number dated 8-10-2013 was published in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh (ordinary), dated 9-10-2013 for inviting objections of the affected persons through Deputy Commissioner, Sirmour within six weeks from the date of publication of the said notification;

And whereas, no objections have been received within the specified period;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (3) of section 5 of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 1994, (Act No. 13 of 1994), the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to include the local areas, as specified in Schedule 'A', in the Municipal Council Nahan.

No. SEC.16-36/2001-II-81-87.—Whereas the SDO (Civil) Nalagarh vide his letter No. MC/Baddi/updations/e-roll/2013-1262-64 dated 3/10/2013 has brought to the notice of the Commission that electoral roll of M.C. Baddi could not be finalized as a number of electors of adjoining Gram Panchayats namely Haripur Sandoli, Gullar Walla, Thana, Bhatoli Kalan and Matulli are appearing in the electoral roll of M.C. Baddi.

Whereas ADM, Solan, SDO (C) Nalagarh and Executive Officer, M.C. Baddi and other staff dealing with the preparation of draft electorall roll were called in the Commission on 22/11/2013 to discuss and apprise the Commission of factual posit Whereas, the Secretary, SEC, alongwith Law Officer & Programmer visited the office of M.C. Baddi & inspected the working copies of the draft electoral roll of M.C. Baddi and above mentioned Gram Panchayats.

Whereas after the inspection of record and ascertaining the factual position the Secretary, SEC has recommended that in the interest of error free electoral roll, it will be appropriate to undertake the process of physical verification and shifting of electors denovo in the aforesaid Gram Panchayats & M.C. Baddi.

Therefore, the State Election Commission in exercise of the powers vested in it under article 243K and 243ZA of the Constitution of India, Section 160 of the H.P.
