No. HHC/Admn.6 (20)/77-XVIII.—It is hereby notified for general information that the High Court of Himachal Pradesh shall remain closed for the winter vacation from January 11, 2016 to February 20, 2016 and for summer vacation from June 6, 2016 to June 10, 2016. The High Court will resume its sitting from Monday the 22nd February, 2016 and Monday the 13th June, 2016, after observing winter and summer vacations/gazetted holidays.

The Office of the High Court will remain open during the winter and summer vacations and will receive from parties and persons such petitions and other documents as they may choose to present. All petitions and applications falling under the civil jurisdiction of the Court, which are not of an urgent nature, will be listed after reopening of the Court.

Urgent Criminal and Civil matters shall continue to be heard during the Vacations by the Vacation Judges.

No.SEC.16-22/99-5334-39.—Whereas, State Election Commission notified the election symbols for the Member of Panchayat Samiti vide its notification No. SEC.16-22/99-1800-46 dated 30.6.2015 and the symbol "SHIP" is appearing at Sr. No. 8 of the said notification;

And whereas, in the hand book for Returning Officer/Assistant Returning Officer for the conduct elections to Panchayats 2015 the symbol "Sheep" has been printed at Sr.No. 8 below table No. 2 Panchayats (Panchayats Samiti)-symbol to be used for the election of Member, Panchayat Samiti at Page No. 62 inadvertently;

And whereas, notification dated 30.6.2015 issued by the State Election Commission where "Ship" is mentioned and not "Sheep" was not consulted while allotted symbols by the concerned Returning Officer. The above said hand book has been compiled for general guidance to the Returning Officer/Assistant Returning Officer and other staff deployed on election duty and has clearly been mentioned in the pre-face of hand book, in case of doubt one should refer to original Act/Rules/Regulations and notifications issued by this Commission;

And whereas Block Development Officer, Bharmour has informed telephonically that the Returning Officer, Panchayat Samiti Bharmour i.e. Tehsildar Bharmour has allotted the symbol "Sheep" to the contesting candidate of Ward No. 11- Tundah and Ward No. 12-Poolan due to error of printing in the aforesaid handbook without consulting the original notification dated 30/6/2015 issued by the Commission;

And whereas polling for the said ward of Panchayat Samiti has been fixed for 26th November, 2015 and a period of 3 days has already been elapsed from the canvassing period ;

Now, therefore, the State Election Commission in exercise of the powers vested in it under Article 243K of the Constitution of India, Section 160 (1) of the Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 read with Rule 34 of Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj (Election) Rules, 1994, hereby notified the symbol "Sheep" in respect of Ward No. 11- Tundah and Ward No. 12-Poolan;

अतः इस सन्दर्भ में आम जनता को सूचित किया जाता है कि उपरोक्त वर्णित के विवाह का इन्द्राज रजिस्ट्रार विवाह स्थानीय पंजीकरण रामपुर, तहसील ऊना, जिला ऊना (हि0 प्र0) में दर्ज करवाने बारे किसी को एतराज हो तो वह दिनांक 05-12-2015 को इस न्यायालय में उपस्थित होकर प्रस्तुत कर सकता है, अन्यथा इसके बाद उक्त वर्णित विवाह के पंजीकरण हेतु आगामी कार्यवाही अमल में लाई जायेगी। इसके बाद कोई भी एतराज काबले समायत न होगा।
