No. GAD-A(B)8-4/2001-II.— In partial modification of this Department's Notification of even number dated 10th December, 2015, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to declare 2nd January, 2016, 4th January, 2016 and 6th January, 2016 instead of 1st January, 2016, 3rd January, 2016 and 5th January, 2016 as public holiday in the area of Panchayati Raj Institutions of Development Block Bijhari, District Hamirpur for the conduct of General Elections of PRIs, on the respective dates (in case poll is held). All Government Offices, Boards, Corporations, Educational Institutions and Industrial Establishments situated in the Himachal Pradesh under Industrial Disputes Act and shops will remain closed on the said date in the areas of these Institutions. This will also be a paid holiday to daily wages employees and also within the meaning of Section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act 1881.

It is, however, clarified that special casual leave may be given to those employees who are working in different places in the State but have a right to vote in above Panchayati Raj Institutions, on the production of certificate from the concerned Presiding Officer that the employee has actually cast his/ her vote.
