No. Ahy-A(4)-11/2004-L.—In supersession of this Department notification No. Ahy- A(4)-11/2004-Loose dated 30-03-2012, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to re- constitute a Board, namely, "The Himachal Pradesh Livestock and Poultry Development Board" to promote breeding and development of livestock & poultry in the State by undertaking activities relating to and necessary for improving livestock & poultry production and productivity. 16-राजपत्र/2016-22-04-2016 (319)320 राजपत्र, हिमाचल प्रदेश, 22 अप्रैल, 2016/2 वैशाख, 1938 2. The formation of the Board will be as under:-

3. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE BOARD WILL BE AS UNDER:

I. The improve the genetic level of Livestocks/birds in the State.

II. To take up upgradation programme of local and non descript buffaloes with Murrah breed inheritance.

III. To assist the farmers in enhancing their technical knowledge and skills for improving the Livestock by providing Artificial Insemination, Embryo Transfer Technology and other similar breeding facilities.

IV. To promote, organize and nurture institutions, breeding inputs and delivery of breeding services at the farmers door steps on progressively or self sustainable and economically viable basis.

V. To modernize and upgrade existing training facilities, establish new training facilities where necessary and set in motion & comprehensive human resource development programme at all levels on a regular and sustainable basis.

To establish collaboration with institutions of repute within the country as well as overseas to obtain newer technologies and to upgrade skills on all aspects of Livestock & Poultry Production, Livestock & Poultry Products, Product Processing, Storage, Transport and Merchandising and also to collaborate in research work and taking up joint ventures and joint projects in the area of Livestock & Poultry Development.

VII. To assists, in organsing finances, from Banks directly to the farmers for achieving objectives of the Board.

4. AREA OF OPERATION

The area of operation of the Board shall be the entire territory of the State of Himachal Pradesh.

5. HEADQUARTER OF THE BOARD:

The Headquarter of the Board will be at Shimla and it may meet as often as may be necessary but atleast twice in a year:

6. QUORUM OF THE BOARD:-

Quorum of the meeting of the Board shall be three members in addition to the Chairman. In case of any vacancy arising in the Board, it may be filled up by the Government of Himachal Pradesh in consultation with the Chairman of the Board.

7. DURATION OF THE BOARD

Term of the Board shall be three years.

8. OWNERSHIP OF ASSETS:

Subject to overall administrative and functional viability, assets like land, building laboratories, equipment, livestock, poultry birds, machinery, Liquid Nitrogen plants etc. owned by the Department will also be used by the Board.

Similarly, the staff already working in the various offices and institutions of the Department will also support activities of the Board.

अतः हिमाचल प्रदेश के राज्यपाल, हिमाचल प्रदेश भू-राजस्व अधिनियम, 1954 (1954 का अधिनियम संख्यांक 6) की धारा 6 और रजिस्ट्रीकरण अधिनियम, 1908 (1908 का अधिनियम संख्यांक 16) की धारा 5 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, जिला मण्डी हिमाचल प्रदेश में एक नई उप-तहसील छतरी का सृजन करते हैं :-

No. GAD-B-(A)-1-11/2013(Mandi).—Whereas, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh is of the opinion that it is necessary to do so that a new Sub-Tehsil Chhatri in District Mandi may be323 राजपत्र, हिमाचल प्रदेश, 22 अप्रैल, 2016/2 वैशाख 1938 created consisting of the Patwar Circles shown in column 6, below to provide better services to the concerned people of nearby villages and to avoid inconvenience faced by them and to have the better administrative control.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 of the Himachal Pradesh Land Revenue Act, 1954 (Act 6 of 1954) and Section 5 of the Registration Act, 1908 (Act No. 16 of 1908), the Governor of Himachal Pradesh is pleased to create a new Sub-Tehsil at Chhatri in District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh:—
