No. SEC(F)1-16/2020-2771-2805.—In exercise of the powers vested in it under Article 243ZA of the Constitution of India and Section 9 of The Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 240-राजपत्र/2021-13-03-2021 (9049)9050 राजपत्र, हिमाचल प्रदेश, 13 मार्च, 2021/22 फाल्गुन, 1942 read with rules 35 & 36 of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Election Rules, 2012 and in supersession of Notification No. SEC-(13)/6/2016-7207-16, dated 26th February, 2016, the State Election Commission Himachal Pradesh hereby specifies the symbols (Reserved and Free) in the following Tables for allotment to the contesting candidates for elections to Municipal Corporations:—

Reserved symbols specified in Table-A shall be allotted to the candidates who will be set up by a National Political Party duly notified as such by the Election Commission of India, while the candidates sponsored by un-recognised political parties or independent candidates shall be allotted the free symbols specified in Table-B. There shall be no choice of symbol for these candidates. These symbols shall be allotted in seriatim irrespective of the Sr. No. (Starting from one onwards) of the candidate in list of contesting candidates.

NOTIFICATION
Dated, the 13th March, 2021
No. SEC.16-29/2000-I-2709-2770.—Whereas the State Election Commission has issued election programme vide Notification No.SEC(F)2-6/2020-No. SEC(F)2/2020 and dated 13-03-2021 to conduct general elections to four Municipal Corporations Dharamshala, Palampur, Mandi and Solan and six Nagar Panchayats Chirgaon and Nerwa District Shimla, Ani and Nirmand District Kullu, Kandaghat District Solan and Amb District Una.
Therefore, the State Election Commission in exercise of the powers vested in it under Article 243-ZA of the Constitution of India, Section 9 of HP Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 and Section 281 of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 1994, hereby directs that the Model Code of Conduct as notified by this Commission vide Notification No.SEC-16-29/2000-I-3768, dated 3rd November, 2020, shall come into force with immediate effect in the territorial jurisdiction of the above mentioned Municipal Corporations and Nagar Panchayats, till the election process is over.

No. SEC(F)2-6/2021-2619-2664.—In exercise of the powers vested in it under Article 243- ZA of the Constitution of India, Section 9 of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 read with Rule 33 of the H P Municipal Corporation Election Rules, 2012, the State Election Commission Himachal Pradesh hereby notifies the Election Programme for the conduct of general elections to Municipal Corporations of Dharamshala, Palampur, Mandi and Solan as under :—
| 1. | Nomination papers shall be presented; | On 22nd, 23rd & 24th March, 2021 (between 11.00 A.M. to 3.00 P.M.). Nomination papers shall be filed at designated places and before the Officers appointed by the Returning Officer for the purpose. |
| 2. | The nomination papers shall be scrutinized; | On 25th March, 2021 ( From 10.00 A.M. onwards) |
| 3. | A candidate may withdraw his candidature; | On 27th March, 2021 ( Between 10.00 A.M. to 3.00 P.M.) |
| 4. | The list of contesting candidates showing the name of symbols allotted to them immediately after the time of withdrawal is over shall be prepared and affixed; | On 27th March, 2021 immediately after the time of withdrawal is over. |
| 5. | The list of Polling stations shall be pasted ; | On or before 22nd March, 2021. |
| 6. | The Poll, if necessary, shall be held from 8.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. | On 7th April, 2021 |
| 7. | Counting of votes, in the event of poll, shall be done | The Counting of votes shall be taken up immediately after the close of the poll at the Municipal Headquarters. |

Chirgaon and Nerwa district Shimla, Ani and Nirmand district Kullu, Kandaghat district Solan and Amb district Una as under :—

No. SEC(F)2-/2020-2806-45.—In continuation to this Commission's Notification No. SEC(F)-2/2020-2665-2708 dated 13-03-2021 the Commission hereby directs that the election programme published vide said Notification shall also be applicable for the vacancies that exist in the Municipal Council Nerchowk and Nagar Panchayat Karsog of district Mandi.
Further the Commission hereby directs that the Model code of Conduct enforced by the State Election Commission vide Notification No. SEC.16-29/2000-I-2709-2770, dated 13-03-2021 shall also be applicable in the territorial jurisdiction of the above mentioned municipalities.
