No. Shram(B)3-9/2022(Estt.).—In Exercise of the powers vested in him under section 8 (1) of Factories Act, 1948, and in order to enforce the provisions of Factories Act, 1948 and Manufacture, storage and import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989 framed under Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to create two zones and define the area jurisdiction as under:—

Each zone shall be headed by Assistant Director (Factories). The Governor, Himachal Pradesh is further pleased to appoint Assistant Director (Factories) as 'Inspector' as per Section 8(1) of Factories Act, 1948. Further, Chief Inspector of Factories can depute any Assistant Director9334 राजपत्र, हिमाचल प्रदेश, 17 जनवरी, 2023/27 पौष, 1944 (Factories) for inspection anywhere in State under special circumstances depending upon administrative exigencies and expertise.
