No. SEC(F)1-40/2023-Vol-II-9827.—Whereas the State Election Commission vide Notification No. SEC(F)1-40/2023-Vol-II-9442, dated 05-06-2026 issued a programme for the updation of electoral rolls of Nagar Panchayat Bir, District Kangra, Municipal Corporation Baddi, District Solan and Municipal Corporation Una, District Una.

And whereas the Electoral Registration Officer-cum-SDO (C) Baddi apprised that a total 13216 forms for claims, objections and correction of entries have been received by the Revising Authority and requested, that keeping in view the high volume of applications received additional time for disposal of these applications may be granted;

And whereas the State Election Commission considered the matter and after due deliberation vide Notification No. SEC(F)1-40/2023-Vol-II-9670, dated 22-06-2026 issued a revised programme for the updation of electoral rolls of Municipal Corporation Baddi, District Solan wherein final publication of electoral rolls is fixed for on or before 13-07-2026;

And whereas this Commission has received many complaints of similar nature alleging therein irregularities in preparation of electoral rolls;

And whereas the complaints were placed before the Commission and discussed at length and the Commission is of the considered view that the purity and integrity of the electoral roll is fundamental to the conduct of free and fair elections. The complaints received and representations alleging irregularities in the preparation of the electoral rolls, require examination to ensure that the electoral rolls are accurate, complete and in conformity with the applicable statutory provisions and it is necessary to verify the complaints before proceeding with the final publication of the electoral rolls;

Therefore, the State Election Commission in exercise of the powers vested in it under Article 243ZA of the Constitution of India, Section 9 of HP Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 read with Rule 14 of the HP Municipal Corporation Election Rules, 2012, hereby directs the Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Baddi, not to publish the final electoral roll of the Municipal Corporation, Baddi, till further orders. However, disposal of appeals shall be completed as per programme issued vide Notification dated 22-06-2026.

यह मिसल अदालत हज़ा में छानबीन व रिपोर्ट हेतु कानूनगो वृत्त दुगाना को भेजी गई। मुताबिक रिपोर्ट क्षेत्रीय कानूनगो इकाई आवेदक का नाम पटवार वृत्त दुगाना के कागजात माल में कांशी राम है जोकि गलत दर्ज है परन्तु बाद मौका छानबीन पाया गया कि प्रार्थी का सही नाम मनजीत सिंह पुत्र श्री ज्ञारू उर्फ ज्ञान सिंह है तथा मनजीत सिंह व कांशी राम एक ही व्यक्ति के नाम हैं। वाशिन्दगान देह नम्बरदार आदि के ब्यान संलग्न हैं। अतः प्रार्थी का नाम मनजीत सिंह उर्फ कांशी राम पुत्र ज्ञारू उर्फ ज्ञान सिंह दर्ज करने बारे किसी को कोई उजर/एतराज हो तो वह तिथि 25-07-2026 को प्रातः 11.00 बजे तक अथवा इस तिथि से पूर्व किसी भी कार्य दिवस में असालतन/वकालतन हाजिर आकर अपना एतराज दर्ज करवा सकता है अन्यथा इस तिथि तक कोई भी एतराज पेश न होने की सूरत में प्रार्थी का नाम कागजात माल में दुरुस्त करने के आदेश पारित कर दिए जाएंगे।
