No. 18 (i) of the SCHEDULE-A to Jammu and Kashmir Subordinate Staff (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2016 as amended vide notification dated 16-07-2019, the nomenclature of the post of Jamadar (Selection-Grade), appearing under the heading Category, is amended and re-named as "Usher (Selection Grade)."

WHEREAS, vide Government Order No.1590-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 27-12-2022, the tentative seniority lists of various categories of officials belonging to the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service as they stood on 01-01-2022, were notified and circulated amongst the members of the service for objections were invited, if any, to the seniority position assigned to them, category and date of birth recorded in the relevant columns in the said seniority lists, within a period of 15 days from the issuance of order ; and

WHEREAS, after issuance of said tentative seniority lists, several objections have been received. Besides, changes have also occurred on account of fresh appointment(s), promotion(s), retirement(s)/death(s) and cancellation of appointment(s) during the year 2022 and names of such officials needs to be included/excluded from the respective categories of the seniority lists of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service.
