Whereas , it appears to the Government that a total area of 11 Kanals , 12 Marlas and 01 Sirsai of land is required in Village Batapora, Tehsil Shopian District Shopian for public purpose namely " Construction of Lawyers ' Chambers , Residential Quarters for Judicial Officers , and Office for Prosecuting Wing at District Court Complex , Shopian" .

Whereas , Collector Land Acquisition Shopian after obtaining the report of the Social Impact Assessment Committee , issued preliminary notification under Section 11 ( 1 ) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition , Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act , 2013 , vide No. DCS /LAC/ 23-24/ 89-93 , dated 26-05-2023 for calling upon objections , if any, from the interested persons / land owners ; and

Whereas , in response to the said notification one joint objections has been received by the Collector Land Acquisition Shopian with regard to the disbursement of compensation ;

Whereas , the case has been examined and the Collector Land Acquisition , Shopian has given due opportunity to the interested persons and has accordingly submitted report vide No. DCS /LAC/ 23-24/705-07 dated 17-02-2024 , which revealed that one joint objection was filed by Dilshada Jan and Batulla Jan , Daughters of Ghulam Hassan Mir , Residents of Baba Mohalla , Shopian within a stipulated period of time , which stands disposed off ;

Whereas , the Appropriate Government is satisfied after considering the report made by the Collector Land Acquisition , Shopian that the said land is required for public purpose .
