No. 01/Ni.(Vi.Sa.)/16-14/2019/42 --- WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of clause (1) of Article 172 of the Constitution of India, the existing Legislative Assembly of the State of Jharkhand, unless sooner dissolved, shall continue upto and including the 5th January, 2020 and shall, thereafter, stand dissolved on the expiration of its duration; and WHEREAS, in terms of sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), a General Election has to be held for the purpose of constituting a new Legislative Assembly of the State of Jharkhand;
NOW, THEREFORE, as recommended by Election Commission of India, in pursuance of sub- section (2) of Section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Governor of the State of Jharkhand is hereby pleased to call upon each of the Assembly Constituencies of the State of Jharkhand specified in the Table Below to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of the State, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder:

NO. 464/ES-1/JKD-LA/2019:- WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Jharkhand has, by a notification issued under sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951), published in the official gazette of the State on 26th November, 2019, been pleased to call upon each of the Assembly Constituencies in the State of Jharkhand, as specified in column (1) of the Table below, to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of the State, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of sections 30 and 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission of India hereby-
(A) appoints, with respect to the said election from each of the Assembly Constituencies specified in the said Table:-
| a) | The 3rd December, 2019 (Tuesday) | As the last date for making nominations; |
| b) | The 4th December, 2019 (Wednesday) | As the date for scrutiny of nominations; |
| c) | The 6th December, 2019 (Friday) | As the last date for withdrawal of candidatures; |
| d) | The 20th December, 2019 (Friday) | As the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; |
| e) | The 26th December, 2019 (Thursday) | As the date before which the election shall be completed |
(B) fixes the hours, as shown in column (2) of the Table below, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above, in the corresponding constituency shown in column (1) of the said Table :-
