File No- 16/Khadya(Vividh)/12-06/2017-148 (16)-- The prohibition on the manufacture, storage, sale and distribution activities of Gutkha and Pan Masala containing Tobacco or Nicotine as ingredients by whatsoever name is available in the market under section 30 (2) (a) of the Food Safety and Standards Act. 2006 & Regulation 2. 3. 4 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restriction on Sales) Regulation, 2011 vide Notification No-222(16) Dated- 21-07-2020 is hereby extended for one year, i.e up to 25-07-2022 in the interest of public health.
