Notification No. 000/06-143/2010-553(S)-- In exercise of power conferred by section-2 of the Indian Toll Act (Jharkhand Amendment), 2002, The Government of Jharkhand hereby makes following amendment rules by making amendment in sub-rule 4 of rule 3A of the Jharkhand Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Amendment Rules, 2021, namely :-

1. Short Title, Extent and Commencement :

(1) These rules may be called The Jharkhand Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Amendment Rules, 2022.

(2) It extends to the whole of Jharkhand State.

(3) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette.

2. The following is inserted by making amendment in sub-rule 4 of rule 3A of the Jharkhand Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Amendment Rules, 2021. Jharkhand Gazette (Extraordinary), Thursday, 17th February, 2022 2

Rules	Present Rule	Amended/Revised Rule
Rule 3A - Sub rule- 4)	The composition user fee may be based on the, "to and fro" basis. Such user fee shall be Rs. 600/- for each way. For this purpose, the base year shall be the year 2021. Provided such user fee rate may be revised yearly at the rate not exceeding @ 10% per year, on every first of April, each year.	The composition user fee may be based on the, "to and fro" basis. Such user fee shall be Rs. 600/- for each way except for such commercial vehicles carrying material less than 9 (nine) tonnes. For this purpose, the base year shall be the year 2021. Provided such user fee rate may be revised yearly at the rate not exceeding @ 10% per year, on every first of April, each year.

3. Remaining other sections of Jharkhand Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Amendment Rules, 2021 shall remain unchanged.

4. The proposal has the approval of Departmental (Chief) Minister.

6. The proposal has the vetting of Law Department .

7. This has the approval of State Cabinet.
