An Act to amend Adopted Bihar Electricity Duty Act, 1948 (as adopted in Jharkhand
vide S./O. No. 117 dated 15.12.2000) as amended Jharkhand Electricity Duty
(Amendment) Act, 2021
Be it enacted in the Seventy second year of the Republic of India by the state legislature in the following manner-
1. Short title, extent and commencement –
(i) This Act may be called the Jharkhand Electricity Duty (Amendment) Act, 2021.
(ii) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Jharkhand.
(iii) It shall come into force w.e.f. date of its publication in the official gazette.
2. Schedule "A" shall be added as new Schedule in Adopted Bihar Electricity Duty Act, 1948 as amended Jharkhand Electricity Duty (Amendment) Act, 2021 after the current Schedule in the following manner:-

(Tariff in respect of captive consumption)

| 1 | Captive consumption by mining, commercial and industrial units, that have installed generating sets. | Exempted |
| 2 | Captive consumption by all Industrial units that have installed power station. | 50 paise per unit of energy consumed |
| 3 | Captive consumption by all mining units that have installed power station. | 50 paise per unit of energy consumed |
