File No- Vanbhumi-09/2018- 1020--In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (Act XVI of 1927), the Governor of Jharkhand is pleased to declare the provisions of Chapter IV of the said Act applicable, from the date of this notification, to the 18.65 Acre (7.55 ha.) Non Forest Raiyati land specified in the Schedule hereto annexed and situated in the district of East Singhbhum, Handed over for Compensatory Afforestation by M/s Manmohan Minerals Industries Private Limited, Jamshedpur, In lieu of diversion of 48.18 Acre (19.50 ha.) Forest land under Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, in Protected Forest of Jamshedpur Forest Division for proposed SwarnKhananPariyojna, Kundrukochaproject.

In lieu of in principle approval for diversion of 48.18 Acre (19.50 ha.) Forest land under Jamshedpur Forest Division for SwarnKhananPariyojna, KundrukochaProject in favour of M/s Manmohan Minerals Industries Private Limited vide Govt. of India, Ministry of Environment & Forest letter No. 10-164/FCE date 07.01.1998 the above said land has been made available.

Since, the land specified in the schedule below was Raiyati which has been purchased by the User Agency and transferred it through registered Sale Deed No.-1419 dated-12.06.1998 and 1418 dated-12.06.1998 and mutated it in favour of Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Government of Jharkhand through case no-116/1998-99, 117/1998-99. Hence, Rights or concession of any other Government Department and/or private person over the land comprised in this notification do not exist and the land is free from all encumbrance and encroachment.

The land specified in the Schedule, is being notified as "Protected Forest" under Section 29 of Indian Forest Act, 1927 and hence forth it shall be called "Protected Forest"
