File No.-Vanbhumi-11/2020- 1804--In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (Act XVI of 1927), the Governor of Jharkhand is pleased to declare the provisions of Chapter IV of the said Act applicable, from the date of this notification, to the 24.905 Acre (10.079 ha.) non forest Raiyati land specified in the Schedule hereto annexed and situated in the district of East Singhbhum, Handed over for Compensatory Afforestation by M/s Tata Steel Ltd. Jamshedpur in lieu of diversion of 24.42 Acres (9.8866 ha.) forest land under Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, in Protected Forest of Ramgarh Forest Division for proposed Open Cast Mining West Bokaro Koliyari, Coal Dump Yard project.
In lieu of in principle approval for diversion of 24.42 Acres (9.8866 ha.) forest land under Ramgarh Forest Division for Open Cast Mining West Bokaro Koliyari, Coal Dump Yard Project in favour of M/s Tata Steel Ltd. vide Govt. of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change letter no 10-249/FCEdate 03.01.2011 the above said land has been made available.
Since, the land specified in the schedule below was Raiyati which has been purchased by the User Agency and transferred it through registered Sale Deed No-3136 dated-20.07.2018 and mutated it in favour of Forest & Environment Department, Government of Jharkhand through Case No-539/R27 2018-19. Hence, Rights or concession of any other Government Department and/or private person over the land comprised in this notification do not exist and the land is free from all encumbrance and encroachment.
The land specified in the Schedule, is being notified as "Protected Forest" under Section 29 of Indian Forest Act, 1927 and hence forth it shall be called "Protected Forest" ( 5
