NOTIFICATION
The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Excise (Lease of the Right of Retail Vend of Beer) Rules, 1976, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966) is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of section 71 of the said Act for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru - 01.
DRAFT RULES
1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Excise (Lease of the Right of Retail Vend of Beer) (Amendment) Rules, 2021.
(2) They shall come into force with effect from the first day of June 2021.
2. Amendment of rule 9.- In the Karnataka Excise (Lease of the Right of Retail Vend of Beer) Rules, 1976 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 9, for the words "Deputy R.N.I. No. KARBIL/2001/47147 POSTAL REGN. No. RNP/KA/BGS/2202/2017-19 Licensed to post without prepayment WPP No. 297 ೨ 3. Amendment of rule 10.- In rule 10 of the said rules, for the words "Deputy Commissioner", the words "Deputy Commissioner of Excise" shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of rule 11.- In rule 11 of the said rules, for the words "Deputy Commissioner", the words "Deputy Commissioner of Excise" shall be substituted.
5. Amendment of Form II.- In Form II of the said rules.-
(i) in Part-A, for the words, "Deputy Commissioner …..……District", in two places, where they occur the words and brackets "Deputy Commissioner ………District (in case of grant of licence)/Deputy Commissioner of Excise ……..……District (in case of renewal of licence)", shall respectively be substituted.
(ii) in Part-B, for the words, "Deputy Commissioner ………..District" occurring at the end, the words "Deputy Commissioner ………District (in case of grant of licence)/Deputy Commissioner of Excise ……..………District (in case of renewal of licence)", shall be substituted.
