Notification
The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Housing Board (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1993, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10A and 74 of the Karnataka Housing Board Act, 1962 (Karnataka Act 10 of 1963), is hereby published as required by sub- section (1) of section 74 of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the state Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Secretary to Government, Housing Department, Vikasa Soudha, Bengaluru – 560 001.
DRAFT RULES
1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Housing Board (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
(1)2 2. Substitution of Schedule-I.- In the Karnataka Housing Board (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1993 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), for Schedule-I the following shall be substituted, namely:-

Assistant Director of Town Planning | (1) By Transfer from the cadre of Assistant Executive Engineer (civil) of the Karnataka Housing Board. or (2) By Promotion from the cadre of Assistant-Engineer (civil) with Master Degree in Town Planning or equivalent ; Provided that if no suitable officer is available for Transfer or Promotion then by deputation of an Assistant Director of Town Planning from the Department of Town and Country Planning. | For Transfer and promotion.- (1) Must be holder of a Bachelor Degree in civil Engineering and Master Degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification from a University established by law; and ( 2) Must have put in a service of not less than five years in the cadre of Assistant Engineer (Civil) N ote: The irrevocable option shall be obtained from concerned officer before such promotion/transfer. F or deputation.- Must possess Master Degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification from a University established by Law. | |

S eniority being determined by treating a person holding the post carrying a higher scale of pay as senior to a person holding the post carrying a lower scale of pay.
