NOTIFICATION
The draft of the following rules which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 145 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983(Karnataka Act 01 of 1995) is hereby published as required by sub- section (1) of section 145 of the said Act, for the information of all the person likely to be affected thereby from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the general public on 18th May 2022.
And, whereas objections and suggestions were not received .
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 145 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983(Karnataka Act 01 of 1995) hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
RULES
1. Title, commencement and application.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Classification, Regulation and Prescription of Curricula, etc) (Amendment) Rules, 2022.

Amendment of rule 3.- In the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Classification, Regulation and Prescription of Curricula, etc) Rules, 1995, in rule 3, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
" Provided that, If the Management which is already running primary school i.e., from classes 1 to 8 or from 6 to 8, in the same premises, submits an application for registration and recognition of class 9 and 10 in the said premises, it shall be deemed to be considered as up-gradation or continuation of education for the purpose of registration and recognition purpose only"
