NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (2) and (3) of Article 166 of Constitution of India, the Governor of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) Rules,1977, namely:-
1. Title and Commencement. - 1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Schedule XIA, - In the Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1977, in SCHEDULE XIA,-
(i) for the heading "LAW DEPARTMENT", the heading "LAW, JUSTICE AND HUMAN RIGHTS DEPARTMENT", shall be substituted;
(ii) under the sub-heading "A. LITIGATION", in the proviso to serial number 9, for the words "Law Department" the words "Law, Justice and Human Rights Department", shall be substituted; and
(1)2 (iii) under the sub-heading "H. RECRUITMENT RULES AND APPOINTMENTS", for the words "Department of Law", in two places where they occur, the words "Law, Justice and Human Rights Department", shall be substituted.
